Toronto

Toronto is a big city with a big heart, yet it’s not loved universally across our great country.

Hey,

I love Toronto for its multiculturalism – over 50% of people in Toronto were born outside of Canada. It’s a city that offers great food and diverse experiences.

Recommendations from Scott

Stay

  • I like the boutique hotels on Queen West – the Drake Hotel and the Gladstone House. There are some great smaller downtown hotels as well. Ask Ben!

Eat

  • There are so many great places to eat – it all depends on what you’re into. If Greek, go Danforth, Korean go Bloor Street West. Some areas of the city have a number of different types of restaurants so you really can’t go wrong!

Drink

  • I like the Irish Embassy for a pub feel and Terroni for wine and nibbles. Many of the hotels have awesome bars with live piano – my fave at the moment is Shangri-la.

Explore

  • So much to do – live music, theatre, parks, the Toronto Island (summer choice). Strolling around neighbourhoods and exploring the city’s ravines is a great way to spend a day. Bring a bike!
