It won’t surprise anyone who knows me that I found the village of Kamouraska because of a restaurant I picked out for us to stop at during a road trip back in 2019. That was our first road trip along the St. Lawrence and we’ve been back every year since. The roads along the river are windy and hilly with forests on either side and views of the river. Quebec’s passion for food comes through even in tiny villages and especially in Kamouraska. Whether it’s sitting and reading or walking along the water, this is the perfect spot to rest and recharge with delicious meals throughout the day.

- Auberge le 112 – Although technically up the road in the even smaller village of Saint-Andre, we’ve stayed here a few times. The décor is simple, the breakfast is yummy and the host is full of great tips.
- Tete d’allumette – Be sure to stop for a local beer brewed over a wood fire, and enjoy the views of the river.
