Ljubljana

Ljubljana was built on the site of a Roman settlement and first mentioned in the 12th century. Now the capital of Slovenia, this ancient city is the country’s cultural, educational, economic, political and administrative centre.

Zdravo!

Travelling through Europe years ago, I was unfamiliar with Slovenia and decided to spend a day or two on my way to other countries. When I arrived, I was blown away by the amazing city, which features a magnificent castle, bustling markets and eccentric night life. It’s also a short hop away from Lake Bled, which is one of the most beautiful areas I’ve ever seen and features the only natural island in Slovenia (housing a 17th-century church)!
