Harare is the capital city of Zimbabwe, a southern African country. It’s known for many attractions, such as the Chiremba Balancing Rocks and jacaranda-lined streets.

I love Harare because although it’s a busy bustling city, nature is all around. You can easily take a short drive within the city and be surrounded by amazing landscapes. One of the cool things I was able to do while there was to go to a wildlife reserve where I saw animals up-close. It was really quite breathtaking.

Recommendations from Tomi

  • We stayed at a beautiful thatched house through Air BnB. It had a nice pool, which was great for cooling off given how warm the weather was.

  • Gavas for dinner. You get the chance to try some traditional Zimbabwean food.

  • Definitely make sure you go one of the many wildlife reserves.
